Description

Emerson RSTi-EP I/O modules connect to and are powered by an RSTi-EP network adapter, up to 64 per adapter. They are compact and high-density modules, with up to 16 inline wire connections.

Digital Input Modules

Available in 4, 8, or 16 inputs, which are primarily used to receive binary control signals from sensors, transmitters, switches, or proximity switches. They are fully compliant with IEC 61131 and compatible with type-1 and type-3 sensor inputs.

Digital Output Modules

Available in 4, 8 or 16 outputs, which are primarily used for the incorporation of decentralized actuators. They are designed for DC-13 discrete outputs according to DIN EN 60947-5-1 and IEC 61131-2 specifications.

Analog Input Modules

Available in 4 or 8 inputs, up to 16-bit resolution, and an accuracy of 0.1% FSR (except EP-3124 which is 0.25% FSR). The parameters for the measurement range can be individually set for each channel. With optional diagnostics selection, you'll get channel specific error messages.

Analog Output Modules

Control up to 4 analog actuators with voltage (±10, ±5, 0 to 10, 0 to 5, 2 to 10, or 1 to 5V) or current (0 to 20 or 4 to 20mA). The resolution is 16-bit per channel. An output can be connected to each connector and the internal switching is carried out automatically. With optional diagnostics selection, you'll get channel specific error messages.

Safe Feed-Input Modules

Available with 1 or 2 inputs for creating safety segments within your RSTI-EP I/O system, rated SIL 3 compliant (IEC 62061 and EN ISO 13849-1, category 4, PL e). They use contact-based safety transducers and/or safety transducers with OSSD (Output Signal Switching Device) inputs to disconnect the 24VDC output current path from all following modules until the next EP-7641 power module. Restoring the supply power to those modules can be set to automatic or manual. With automatic start, the current path is immediately switched on after resetting the safety circuit(s); with manual, you have to hold the start button for a preset length of time.

A delay module option is also available so that you can program some buffer time before shut off (to shut down a machine in a controlled manner, for example). The delay time can be set in four steps between 0 and 60 seconds.
