Description
The Rion VM-63C is a compact vibration meter designed with a particular emphasis on the maintenance and inspection of rotational machinery. The integrated accelerometer and digital display eliminates the needs for cables, aiding in the ease of on-site measurements in the field. The unit can be held in one hand and operated with a single button. It can be used with or without the provided attachment. The attachment provides response and reproducibility over a wide vibration frequency ranges, whereas the use without the attachment is best suited for measuring vibration characteristics in the high range (10Hz to 15kHz).
The LCD readout shows either acceleration, velocity, or displacement. Measurement for unbalanced conditions, misalignment or bearing vibrations is also possible. There is no power switch needed - simply pressing the MEASURE button turns the meter on and leaving it inactive for a period of time turns it off. The unit requires the use of two AA alkaline batteries, which will provide up to 50 hours of continuous use, and supports the use of rechargeable batteries.
