Description
The Keller LevelRat submersible level transmitter is specifically designed for use in environments that would clog a traditional level transmitter. The LevelRat is UL/cUL IS-Approved for use in hazardous locations. The unique Kynar diaphragm combines increased durability and Teflon-like non-stick properties to provide increased service time without maintenance. Additionally, the small profile minimizes accumulated solids, while simplifying installation.
Perfectly suited for pump control applications, the LevelRat is compatible with any standard 2-wire, 4-20mA current loop or 3-wire voltage systems. Additionally, models equipped with 4-20mA analog output include guaranteed lightning protection at no additional cost. This feature protects the transmitter from fast-rising transients and carries a lifetime guarantee against damage from electrical surge.
Optional 1/2 inch NPT male conduit fitting adapts the LevelRat to those applications where hard-mounting by rigid conduit is preferred.

Here's how some of our customers use this product...
Lift Station
The Background: Our customer is a municipal wastewater facility that needs a replacement level monitoring solution in a wet-well lift station.
The Problem: The customer had an existing level meter (of another brand) in place and it failed unexpectedly causing downtime until the replacement could be delivered and installed. Shortening this downtime was the top priority of the customer. As a wastewater application, it’s also important that it is non-fouling.
The Solution: We recommended the Keller LevelRat submersible level sensor. Not only does the LevelRat ship in just a few days, it also has a non-fouling Kynar diaphragm for puncture resistance, a key feature in wastewater applications. The customer bought two, so a spare is now always on hand.
Monitoring the Level of a Water/Hydrocarbon Mix in a Collection Pit
The Background: Our customer is a construction company that needs to monitor the level of a collection pit used as part of a project on which they are currently working.
The Problem: The media within the collection pit is a mix of hydrocarbons and water. Then pit can also inadvertently collect trash which has the potential to foul and equipment used.
The Solution: The Keller LevelRat submersible level transmitter has a non-fouling Kynar diaphragm and is available with Hytrel and Tefzel cable jackets which provide excellent resistance to hydrocarbons and abrasion which may be encountered in the collection pit.
