The Raytek MI3 infrared thermometer is a two-piece system with a miniature
sensing head and separate communications electronics. Designed for a wide range of applications, the MI3 is accurate,
rugged, affordable, and easy-to-install and operate. With the MI3, precision infrared temperature measurement is now an
economical alternative.
The Raytek MI3 electronics modules include an innovative multiple sensing head interface supports up to 8 individually
addressable heads per communication module which reduces overall cost while simplifying installation and troubleshooting.
The modules are available in either a standard cast metal enclosure or an innovative multi-channel DIN mountable
enclosure. The standard enclosure includes USB 2.0 communications and a choice of scalable 0/4 to 20 mA
and 0 to 5/10 VDC analog outputs, or Type J, K, R or S thermocouple outputs, as well as an optional RS485 network
interface. The DIN mountable version includes both USB 2.0 and RS485 communications.
The Raytek MI3 electronics modules control all features of the sensing head. Standard features include adjustable
Emissivity, Peak Hold, Valley Hold, and Averaging functions. All sensor parameters are easily adjustable on the
built-in user interface keypad, or remotely with the DataTemp Multidrop software via the built-in USB interface. Advanced
features further extend the power of the MI3 and include user configurable alarm output, digital "recipe" table
inputs that can be easily interfaced to an external control system, an external reset input for signal processing,
and external inputs for analog emissivity adjustment or reflected energy compensation.
The Raytek MI3 electronics modules ship complete with software support CD with DataTemp Multidrop software and user manual.
