Description
The Optris BR500 calibration source primarily used to provide a stable temperature reference for infrared sensor testing. It operates over a range of 95 to 932°F with a fixed emissivity of 0.95 and a 152mm aperture. Temperature control is managed using a Pt100 sensor with PID regulation, and stated accuracy varies from about ±0.63°F at lower temperatures to ±3.42°F at the maximum range.
The unit requires a warm-up period of 10 to 20 minutes depending on temperature level and has defined cool-down times between operating ranges. It runs on 230 V AC (optional 110 V) with a maximum power consumption of 1000 W and is specified for operation in ambient temperatures between 41 and 86°F.
