MRU 13291 Active Vent Adapter

This is an additional, removable part, secured by a magnet to the back of the analyzer; it houses a pump, powered by the required additional AUX port that creates a flow of the exhausted gas out of a hose barb rather than the slit vent. This allows the sample gas to be automatically connected and hosed away from the user or out of a confined area. This is an increased safety device that can ensure that any dangerous gases are not exposed to the user or allowed to concentrate in a confined space and will be vented to wherever the hose is routed. This is useful in the AMPROplus to reduce the accumulation of NOx, CO, and CO2, which can have adverse physical effects if exposed in accumulated concentrations. This is useful in the OPTIMAX to vent flammable CH4 and nauseous CO2 and H2S away from the user or out of a confined space. This part, and the required accompanying AUX port, will be made a required purchase for any OPTIMAX purchased with the intent of analyzing more than 5,000ppm H2S since exhausted gas in such a circumstance could have extremely dangerous or lethal effect to the user.
