Description
The Druck UNIK 5800 / 5900 pressure sensing platforms are compact and rugged versions of the high performance UNIK 5000 pressure sensing platform offering both flameproof/ explosion-proof or dust ignition protection by enclosure capability as required. They provide a lightweight and cost effective alternative to pressure gauges and switches in process and in oil and gas industry applications.
With 35 years of pressure measurement experience, our field-proven Druck silicon technology is at the heart of the new platform, resulting in a range of high quality, high stability pressure sensors. Custom-built from standard components, manufacturing sensors to your requirement is fast and simple; each UNIK 5000 is a "bespoke" pressure sensing solution, but with the short lead times and competitive pricing you would expect from standard products.
Custom pressure ranges and cable lengths are available upon request. Please contact us for details.

Applications
Here's how some of our customers use this product...
Highly Configurable Pressure Measurement for Any Application
The Background: Our customer is a petrochemical company seeking an explosion-proof pressure transmitter.
The Problem: The application requires a Class 1, Div 2 pressure transmitter, with 4-20mA output, capable of handling the rigors of heavy industry. The customer doesn’t need or want the “bells and whistles” found in many pressure transmitters nor do they need a display or traditional flange.
The Solution: We recommended a GE Druck UNIK5800 series transmitter, which offers the hazardous area approvals needed along with a menu of available options the customer can choose to select or not. This allows the customer to customize the UNIK5800 according to their needs without paying for options they don’t want.
