The Optris Bottom Up Glass Inspection System is built around two infrared cameras (PI 640i G7 or PI 450i G7) that rest below a glass pane's tempering line in order to measure the non-coated, high emissivity side. Area calculation of glass surface, and adjustments to scan line are fully automatic. The dual lens design allows for up to 1600 pixel resolution per scan line. This system is built to provide more reliable, accurate readings in low emissivity glass production. The thermal imagers are joined by the Optris CTlaser 4ML Glass Breakage Sensor, with a 90µs exposure time. This sensor works in conjunction with the inbuilt, digitally controlled lens protection system (DCLP), to ensure maximum process safety. No cooling or excess air purging required to maintain functionality or accuracy. Each system includes license-free access to PIX Connect Thermography Software, which allows in-depth analysis of thermal data, hands-free camera adjustments and testing.
The Optris PI 640i G7 Infrared Camera has an optical resolution of 640 x 480 pixels at 32Hz (640 x 120 at 125Hz), a temperature range of 150 to 1500°C (with switchable subranges), and a thermal sensitivity of 80mK. This model is offered with 60° x 45° or 90° x 64° lens configurations.
The Optris PI 450i G7 Infrared Camera has an optical resolution of 382 x 288 pixels at 80Hz (switchable to 27Hz), a temperature range of 150 to 1500°C (with switchable subranges), and a thermal sensitivity of 150mK. This model is offered with 53° x 38° or 80° x 54° lens configurations.
Each camera is housed in an IP67 rated enclosure, with shock and vibration protections. A control cabinet integrates these components with a 10m USB/Ethernet cable set, industrial process interfaces, USB server Gigabits, Netgear Ethernet Switch and converter, remote trigger for shutter operation, and power supply. Shipped fully assembled for easy retrofitting to glass tempering furnaces.
