Alliance Sensors Group Linear Position Sensors
Alliance Sensor Group linear variable inductance transducers (LVITs) measure the distance between an object and a point of reference and convert the linear displacement of that object into an electrical signal that is proportional to the object’s displacement. They offer an excellent price-to-performance ratio compared to other linear position sensing technologies such as LVDTs and linear potentiometers. The sensor's overall length only increases by a relatively small percentage beyond their stroke. As a result, LVITs may offer better stroke-to-length ratio than many other linear position sensor technologies.
