Vaccine Program Management
Vaccines must be stored properly from the time they are manufactured until they are administered. The CDC considers proper storage and handling of vaccines to be one of the most important elements of vaccination programs as exposure of vaccines to temperatures outside the recommended ranges can decrease their potency and reduce the effectiveness and protection they provide. Storage and handling errors also cost significant amounts of money due to wasted vaccines.
