The Waygate Technologies Everest Mentor Flex+ QuickChange VideoProbe combines portability with military-grade durability in a versatile industrial video borescope. It is built so one system can handle a wide range of inspections.

The Mentor Flex+ introduces QuickChange interchangeable probes, allowing technicians to readily swap between 4.0 to 6.1mm diameter probes to suit application needs, with a 6.2mm working channel probe for foreign object retrieval. The 6.1mm variant features the shortest camera head available at that diameter, optimizing on space for system inspections that require an extremely tight bend radius. The new Always-Up gravity sensor displays a real-time up-direction indicator, and an optional Auto-Rotate mode keeps the display correctly oriented without manual readjustment. This additional functionality ensures streamlined navigation of complex inspection paths.

The Mentor Flex+ Series features a 5.8in WXGA Advanced Wide View LCD that is daylight readable (the Mentor Flex+ handset is sold separately, see required components in the Accessories tab). The optically bonded, multipoint capacitive Gorilla Glass touchscreen, and TrueSight image clarity increase the accuracy of assessments and increase the overall probability of detection. The Real3D measurement function logs defects through a fully surfaced point cloud, with traditional stereo measurement also supported. Menu Directed Inspection (MDI) 3.0 technology comes standard for each unit. This platform provides guided inspection workflows, intelligent data tagging, and automatic report generation in PDF and MS Word formats. Push2IW automatically uploads inspection data to the InspectionWorks Insight cloud for storage and automated reporting. InspectionWorks Connect Local enables wired or wireless video streaming and file transfer to iOS and Android devices over dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Wi-Fi. HDMI and USB-C outputs support 1080p video at 60Hz. The software can be updated wirelessly, as well as through the USB interface.

The Mentor Flex+ Series has a full suite of image processing tools, including: Adaptive Noise Reduction (ANR), automatically removing image noise so potential defects are easier to see; High Dynamic Range, optimizing image quality in scenes with shiny surfaces; Dark Boost, to assess the scene and digitally brighten darker areas; Distortion-correction for wide field-of-view optics. In addition to these advanced image-processing functions, the probe tip is optimized to preserve image quality at temperatures up to 100°C, reducing wait times for engine cooling.

Housing for each probe is constructed with magnesium, aluminum, and polycarbonate components, with integrated elastomeric bumpers. These enclosures are tested to MIL-STD-810H environmental standards and MIL-STD-461G electromagnetic interference standards, with an ingress protection rating of IP65. The Mentor Flex+ Series is built to deliver reliable performance across a range of harsh industrial environments.
