Description

Rotronic HygroFlex3A series advanced humidity transmitters is a fixed probe instrument designed for continuous measurement in environmental monitoring applications. It measures 0 to 100 %RH with an accuracy of ±1.2 %RH at 73°F. Temperature measurement ranges depend on the mounting version: duct and cable models operate from -58 to 212°F, while wall mounted versions operate from -40 to 185°F, or -14 to 140°F when equipped with a display.

The HygroFlex3A operates with a 1 second measurement interval and a 5 second initialization time. It is available in 2-wire (HF3A-2), 3/4-wire analog (HF3A-3), and RS485 (HF3A-D) versions. Outputs include 4 to 20mA and freely scalable analog signals (0 to 1V, 0 to 5V, 0 to 10V, 0 to 20mA, 4 to 20mA), with greater than 15 bit resolution.

The device uses a PC-ABS IP65 housing and a ROTRONIC Hygromer HT 1 humidity sensor with a Pt100 temperature sensor (1/3 Class B). Power supply is 10 to 28 VDC for 2-wire and 18 to 36 VDC for 3/4-wire versions.

Rotronic HygroFlex3A Humidity and Temperature Transmitter Applications:

  • HVAC systems for office buildings and storage areas
  • Climate monitoring in greenhouses and swimming pools
  • Light industrial manufacturing including electronics production, packaging, and small assembly operations
