The E+H Field Xpert SMT50B field communicator is an industrial tablet designed for commissioning and maintaining field instruments in non-hazardous environments. It enables technicians to configure devices through wired, wireless, or modem connections and supports a large library of more than 4,000 device drivers along with common industrial communication protocols, including secure Bluetooth connections.

The SMT50B tablet is built for field use, combining a rugged IP66-rated design with an anti-glare 10.1-inch touchscreen and a lightweight form factor of about 1 kg. It runs on Windows, allowing technicians to use standard workplace applications without carrying additional devices. Features such as hot-swappable dual batteries and optional accessories like keyboards and magnetic mounts support extended mobile use.

The device also connects directly to the Netilion ecosystem, enabling users to access data, share files, and store documentation while working remotely. Its main purpose is to simplify field device management and reduce the time and effort required for maintenance and configuration tasks.
