Description

The Optris CTi P7 infrared pyrometer uses a 7.9 µm spectral range to measure thin-film plastics such as PET, PU, PTFE, and PA. It measures temperatures from 32 to 1310°F with a 150ms response time, making it suitable for fast industrial processes. It provides a 10:1 optical resolution and an accuracy of ±4.5°F or ±1%, whichever is greater. Emissivity can be adjusted, and built-in signal processing functions such as peak hold, valley hold, and averaging help adapt the measurement to changing process conditions.

The sensor is split into a sensing head and separate electronics for flexible installation. The device supports analog outputs 0/4 to 20mA, 0 to 5/10V, thermocouple K, alarm and optional industrial communication interfaces including Modbus, PROFINET, and EtherNet/IP. It is IP65-rated and operates in ambient temperatures from -4 to 185°F.
