Description
The Optris CTi G5 infrared pyrometer sensor provides non-contact measurement of glass surface temperatures from 122 to 3002°F. It uses a 5µm spectral range and offers optical resolution of 14:1 (G5L) or 20:1 (G5H), with response times of 90ms and 70ms respectively. Measurement uncertainty is specified as ±0.3% of reading or 3.6°F, with repeatability of ±0.36°F or ±0.2% (G5L) and ±0.9°F or ±0.2% (G5H).
The sensor features a compact two piece design with a separate sensing head and electronics, allowing flexible installation and easy setup. Adjustable emissivity, transmissivity, and signal processing functions such as peak hold, valley hold, and averaging provide added control for varying process conditions. It supports multiple analog outputs, including 4 to 20mA, voltage, and thermocouple K, along with a wide range of industrial digital interfaces such as USB, EtherNet/IP, Profinet, and Modbus. Built for harsh environments, the device operates in ambient temperatures from -4 to 185°F and features an IP65 (NEMA 4) rated housing.
