Description
The ifm efector E4 Series IO-Link Data Splitter is a signal converter that enables the retrofitting of IO-Link into existing sensor installations, without changing the existing plant configuration or controller. The E4 series IO-Link data splitter provides quick provision of sensor data to higher-level IoT/cloud systems. It features one PNP or NPN digital output, a normally open/closed output function, and M12 Connectors with gold-plated contacts. Additionally, it has a convenient plug-and-play design that provides perfect support for service and maintenance personnel.
The E4 Series IO-Link data splitter provides easy decoupling of relevant IO-Link data for efficient diagnosis or process monitoring. This enables plant-independent monitoring in conventional control systems that previously operated in the standard I/O (SIO) mode. The data splitter, in conjunction with the splitter cable, allows SIO signals to pass through to PLC inputs. It also transmits process values and other sensor data intelligence via IO-Link to higher-level systems, such as an existing SCADA.
