Description
The Michell Instruments SF72 rail moisture transmitter is a cost-effective moisture transmitter designed to continuously monitor the performance of the compressed air dryers on railway rolling stock to ensure both safety and efficiency of braking and other systems. It features a compact design and measurement ranges within -60 to 60°C dew point, making it ideal for industrial dryer applications. This dew point range is measured with ±3.6°F (±2°C) accuracy and ±0.36°F (±0.2°C) resolution. A two-wire 4 to 20mA analog output comes scaled for the SF72's full range standard.
With its 316 stainless steel, IP66 construction, the Michell Instruments SF72 rail moisture transmitter has been rated for EMC/RFI approval to rail standard EN50121-3-2 and shock/vibration approval to rail standard IEC16373:1999-01. Two filters are available for this Michell Instruments rail moisture transmitter; the standard HDPE guard for particulate less than 10μm or an optional sintered guard for particulate less than 80μm. Additionally, the SF72 complies with Compressed Air Quality ISO8573.1 Class 2 to 6 requirements.
