The UE Systems Ultraprobe 2000 ultrasonic inspection system's user-friendly features can be adapted
to virtually any inspection requirement. Sensitive only to ultrasonic frequencies, the Ultraprobe 2000
will not respond to the low frequency noises often associated with most plant equipment, enabling the user
to tune into problem sounds while minimizing background interference. The meter can heterodyne ultrasound
into audible range providing accurate sound reproduction.
Frequency tuning allows the operator to select the specific frequency of a problem sound while reducing
interference from competing ultrasonic signals. The bi-modal meter switch has both logarithmic metering and
linear mode functions. Logarithmic metering provides real-time response for enhanced leak and fault detection.
Linear mode provides a slow, averaging response to stabilize readings for bearing and mechanical monitoring.
The 10-turn sensitivity adjust dial provides a wide dynamic sensitivity range.
The Ultraprobe 2000 enables three modes of data reporting: through auditory channels via a headset that has
been specifically selected for heavy duty industrial use, through a bi-modal analog meter, and through the
ability to interface with vibration analyzers and sound recording devices via heterodyned output.
The system can help reduce unplanned downtime, shorten planned outage time, diagnose equipment problems quickly,
allow just one person to quickly test equipment in an entire section, and create more efficient scheduling of routine
preventative maintenance procedures.
