The WIKA CPG1500 Pressure Gauge features the accuracy of digital measurement technology and the simplicity of an analog gauge. It offers an accuracy of 0.1% of span (optional 0.05% of span) and is temperature-compensated in the range of 14 to 122°F (-10 to 50°C). Readings can be displayed in one of 21 standard units or also in customer specific units, so that intricate conversions are avoided.

The measuring rate can be user-defined to match the type of measurement required. Standard applications usually use three measured values per second. If required, this rate can also be set to 50 measured values per second. The clear display, with integral bar graph display and large text area, assists with the effective analysis of the widest variety of measuring points.

The WIKA CPP30 pneumatic hand pump is used for generating pressure to test, adjust and calibrate mechanical and electronic pressure measuring instruments by means of comparative measurements. Testing can take place in a laboratory or workshop, or on site at the measuring point. When the device under test and a suitably accurate reference measuring instrument are connected to the test pump, after actuating the pump, the same pressure will act on both measuring instruments. Calibration or adjustment of the device under test can be carried out by comparing the two measured values at any pressure value.

Portable Low Pressure Gauge Calibration

The Background: Our customer is a refinery that uses a high number of analog pressure gauges to monitor their processes. They seek an efficient and cost-effective means of calibrating these gauges.

The Problem: The refinery currently has a third-party service perform all their calibrations. This is costly and, often, inconvenient for them. They want to provide their maintenance staff an easy way to do it themselves.

The Solution: We recommended the WIKA CPG Pneumatic Service Kit. This kit includes the WIKA CPG1500 Pressure Gauge and the WIKA CPP30 Pneumatic Hand Pump and can quickly and easily calibrate gauges and switches up to 500psi at an accuracy level of up to 0.1% of span (optional 0.05% of span).

The CPG1500 Reference Gauge includes an integrated data logger that can be used to monitor the pressure drop on pressure switches under test with the data then being downloaded to confirm the switch test data.
