The Mensor CPC2000 pressure controller is a mains or battery-operated pressure controller with internal, automatic pressure generation and pressure reference. The pressure generation is achieved using an integrated, electric pump, which makes a positive and/or negative pressure available on both the tube connections. As soon as the instrument is switched on, a zero-point adjustment is automatically carried out, so that a zero-point drift is eliminated.

Calibrating Pressure Gauges in the Pharmaceutical Industry

The Background: Our customer is a pharmaceutical company that utilizes a number of high accuracy pressure gauges in their process. They require a means of calibrating these gauges for accuracy.

The Problem: Gauges used in the pharmaceutical industry must fulfill a wide variety of tasks. They control the process pressure, serve as leak detection, they are used for the control of pumps, filters and cleaning processes and also for the monitoring of filling levels. Because of the nature of the pharmaceutical industry, failure of a gauge can have serious health and financial costs making is very important that they are regularly calibrated.

The Solution: We recommended the WIKA CPC2000 precision pressure controller capable of providing mobile calibration for pressure measuring devices from 0 to 1000mbar. The CPC2000 is a versatile, easy-to-use device with internal, automatic pressure generation and pressure reference. For higher pressures, the WIKA CPC4000 pressure controller is capable of calibrations up to 3045psi.

Low pressure Gauge Calibration

The Background: Our customer has a manufacturing facility with a large number low pressure gauges that need to be checked for accuracy.

The Problem: The customer currently uses a pump and digital gauge to perform these tests. This takes a lot of time and is difficult to maintain pressure with the system the use now.

The solution: We recommended the CPC2000 pressure controller to perform these tests. The CPC2000 with integrated pump and tight control allows the customer to perform these test in a very fast manner with simple ease and high accuracy.
