The Additel ADT 672 digital pressure calibrators use advanced microprocessor technology and state-of-the-art silicon pressure sensors to deliver precise measurements. Each silicon sensor has been specially aged, tested, and screened before assembly in order to reach 0.02% FS accuracy over ranges to 10,000 psi (700 bar) and 0.1% FS accuracy over ranges to 60,000 psi (4200 bar).
This series provides a pressure calibration solution for gauges, transmitters, and switches in a wide pressure range. The ADT 672 can read the current or mV produced by the transducer, and supply an excitation voltage to power sensors or transmitters during calibration. Applications include gauge calibration, precision pressure measurement, pressure transmitter calibration, and testing pressure switches, safety relief valves, pressure regulators, and testing for hydraulic leaks.
The Background: Our customer, a pharmaceuticals company, needs a solution for calibrating very low pressure transmitters used for room pressure monitoring.
The Problem: The main hurdle is finding a solution capable of generating such small pressures, in the range of just 1/2 inch of water column, that doesn't cost a small fortune.
The Solution: We recommended the Additel ADT 672 digital pressure calibrator, a test gauge capable of measuring very low pressures as well as providing a power source for the transmitters. The ADT 672 was paired with an Additel ADT 901 Low Pressure Test Pump which is designed to generate pressures from -6 to 6 psi, The Additel ADT-901-KIT test kit provides all the connections necessary. This provides a highly accurate solution for calibrating low pressure transmitters.
