The KEP SUPERtrol-ILE flow computer satisfies the instrument requirements for a variety of pulse producing flowmeter types in liquid applications. The alphanumeric display shows measured and calculated parameters in easy to understand format. Single key direct access to measurements and display scrolling is supported.

An EZ Setup feature rapidly guides the user through the KEP SUPERtrol-ILE flow computer's basic setup. The SUPERtrol-I LE can be programmed for rate/total indication or batching. The various pulse inputs and outputs can be "soft" assigned to meet a variety of common application needs. The user "soft selects" the usage of each feature while configuring the instrument. A 0-20mA or 4-20mA analog output is standard.

The user can assign the standard RS-232 Serial Port for data logging, transaction printing, or for connection to a modem for remote meter reading. An optional RS-485 serial port using Modbus RTU protocol is available. A Service or Test mode is provided to assist the user during start-up system check out by monitoring inputs and exercising outputs. The system setup can also be printed.

Bread Making Water Batching

The Background: Our customer is a commercial bakery replacing an antiquated batching system.

The Problem: The customer utilizes a batching system to add the right amount of water to the mixing vessel. The customer only needs a single batch of 50 pounds of water to be dispensed, at the touch of a button.

The Solution: We recommended the KEP SUPERtrol-ILE flow computer which has a set of terminals for remote reset so that a larger button can be installed anywhere for easy batch initiation. The KEP was configured such that when the batch is finished, it auto-resets to the preset 50lbs batch amount so it’s ready for the next batch to be run at the push of a button. The dual line LCD display provides this customer with a line for grand total and a line for batch total in addition to custom units. In this case, we can program in a static density for their incoming city water by assuming a constant temperature and the KEP will output in pounds of water to match the recipe this bakery has been using for generations.
