Description

The Dakota NDT FX80 Series flaw detector and thickness gauge combines two tools into one. The time corrected gain (TCG) feature automatically compensates for sound attenuation through a material, further increasing the performance of the gauge. The thickness gauge features pulse-echo, echo-echo, pulse-echo temp comp, coating thickness, and pulse-echo coating thickness modes. The flaw detector DAC allows up to 8 points that can be entered and used digitally to draw a DAC curve. Within the grid batching of the FX80 flaw detector, the user has the capability to enter 'OBSTRUCT' on to the grid for easy identification of inaccessible locations to measure.

Additional features of the FX80 series include either two adjustable square wave pulsers with voltage of 100 to 200V (FX80-DL model) or two tone burst pulsers with voltage of 100 to 400V (FX81-DL model). Both models of the FX80 series have a 1.8 to 19MHz broadband frequency band, and the FX81-DL model also includes six narrow bands at 0.5MHz, 1MHz, 2MHz, 5MHz, 10MHz, and 15MHz.

The Dakota FX80 series flaw detector has a 6Gb internal memory and an external SD slot that allows up to 64Gb with full data logging via RS232 data output to DakMaster data management software.
