Description

The Dakota NDT PMX4-DL high penetration thickness gauge features multiple high voltage pulser options and filters tuned for lower frequency transducers (500 kHz – 10 MHz) and can accommodate a variety of material types and applications. Typical target applications include fiberglass sheets, pipes, storage tanks, aerospace composites, boat hulls, conveyor belts, and composite plastics. Common material types include fiberglass, carbon fiber, cast metals, rubber, high density polyethylene (HDPE), fiber reinforced plastic (FRP), lead, and all steels and aluminums.

The PMX4-DL gauge’s electronic platform is FPGA-driven for speed and accuracy, and the screen refresh rate of 25Hz contributes to the overall responsiveness of the gauge. The gauge also features a built-in data logger with two file format options, grid or sequential, and is equipped with an internal 4Gb SD card for memory. It can connect to a standard PC or Apple via USB-C, and can be used in conjunction with Windows PC or OSX reporting software available for download.
