Conductivity transmitters take inputs from various sensors and transmit, or sometimes display, an output that allows for the precise control of water samples. Pure water is a poor conductor of electricity, but adding ions from dissolved salts and inorganic materials increases the conductivity of a sample and makes conductivity an important water quality measurement.
